Memorial created 11-17-2011
Robert Melford
March 15 1962 - November 14 2011

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of longtime Mount of Olives member Robert Melford on Monday, November 14, 2011.

Rob and his family have been MOO members since 1997.  Rob is most known for leading the 40 Feet of Love Container campaign which collected donations for the Ark at Namibia, as part of MOO's Namibia Ministry.  He annually volunteered for the Drive-Thru Nativity as a Wise "Guy," as he called it, and participated in the Edge Men's Ministry where he shared his stories and struggles.  Rob was active with Southern California Cursillo, was previously a member of Church Council and was active in a Small Group.

While we grieve the loss of this brother in Christ, we take great comfort in knowing that because Jesus has conquered the grave, there is victory over death for Rob.
Pastor John Steward will officiate the memorial service on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 4pm in the Worship Center with a reception to follow in the New Creation Center.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to a memorial fund for Robert's favorite ministries.  Checks can be made out to 'Lutheran Community Foundation' and mailed to Thrivent Financial, 24800 Chrisanta Drive, Suite 200, Mission Viejo, CA 92691 (in honor of Robert Melford).

Please join the family in celebrating Robert Melford's life.

Please sign Robert's Guestbook and share your memories.  Thank you.
